That was the cry Gen. Meagher used in the American Civil War, inspiring America's Irish Brigade by invoking the greatest victory of the Irish Brigade of France. For 100 years Irishmen were smuggled from Ireland, where their rights had been stripped by foreign invaders, to France, to fill the ranks of the famous Irish Brigade. In those 100 years they fought all over Europe, in North American, the Caribbean, and even India. They shed their blood freely on several hundred fields “from Dunkirk to Belgrade,” in the words of Thomas Davis. We have not forgotten that they gave the Irish people hope, and perhaps you have not. And so we offer these unique items to you. Wear them with pride, knowing you have helped us to keep alive the memory of The Irish Brigade of France, the pride of Ireland through the dark years of the Penal laws. Ar dheis De go raibh siad. (May they sit at the right hand of God.)
