The Mandala Lady > Mandala of the Week #18: Essence of Being #2
This design started out as a doodle and built upon itself. As I draw designs like this one, I start in the middle and draw out a simple idea; then I look at it and it just looks like something else needs to be added and each ring around builds on the previous one until I reach the 12 inch diameter edge.
In version #2, I decided to use 47 different marker colors to demonstrate that when deciding what colors to use, it's how you lay them out vs the actual colors that makes the difference. I used two simple guideline: 1) alternate between light and dark colors; 2) keep similar colors apart. And rather than coloring the little tabs in rows of color, I spiraled out the colors; making it look likes it's moving.
The message for this mandala: All that I am is Divine
