This store is dedicated to our JRT Fur-baby “Blazing Bullet” because without him, there wouldn’t be any inspiration. As you read his story, you’ll find that he lives up to his name.
Throughout the years we have shared our home with other Fur-Kids. All of the others were very special, however this JRT Kid, well… he just is beyond comparison of any dog that we have shared our home with.
Most dogs play fetch, our JRT prefers to play TRADE and at times he goes overboard. It isn’t his fault, he is only doing it because I “by accident” taught him to do it. Since the Jack Russells are often smarter than their owners (no insult to our fellow JRT owners intended) it only takes one time to embed it for life. (you could easily say, we have been trained by a Jack Russell Terrier)
Going back to the day all this trading stuff began… It was shortly after he came to live in (I mean RULE) our home. You know how it is with a JRT they explore every inch of the house FIFTY times, then back track and do it again. On one of his explorations, he happened to find a bullet on the floor of the bedroom closet. He was rather proud of his newly found treasure and was getting ready to bite into it. I went into a panic, and he kept running away from me if I tried to take it. The only solution I could think of was to grab some lunch-meat from the fridge and holler TRADE.
Well that was 12 yrs ago and if I had to take a wild guess he’s traded me out of 500 pounds of lunch-meat. (trades we have made: wallet, shoes, watch, rings, hat, and keys) He is smart enough to know these things are our necessary personal items, so of course we will TRADE.)
Every time I reach into the fridge to grab another slice of lunch-meat, I think to myself how wonderful life is with him in my world. (then I kick myself in the rump for starting the game of TRADE)
