  1. Shipment of the goods only after a valid purchase order is given by the private individual

  3. No interim storage of the goods in the EU (i.e. Goods shipped through Global Mail are not stored at a warehouse operation in the EU)
  4. eTailer must get full details of the private individual: complete name and complete address
Pricing recommendation
  1. The private individual should be shown that a part of the total payment is for the Customers Duties, Import/ VAT taxes and transportation charges
  2. Customer can send any value, but only for those above the deminimis threshold (GBP 15) there will be routed through centralized clearance
Terms & Conditions
  1. eBuyer must order goods via website and must explicitly agree to become the Importer of Record. This must be reflected in the terms and conditions. Below are 3 recommended options**:
    1. Hereby I authorize the Cafepress to import the goods on my behalf. Further I agree that Cafepress may delegate the obligation to import the goods on my behalf to a subcontractor (e.g. custom broker). I will pay the taxes & duties in addition with the purchase price of the goods.
    2. The goods will be imported on behalf of the consignee/eBuyer. The consignee authorizes the Cafepress to import the goods on his behalf. Further, the consignee/buyer agrees that Cafepress may delegate the obligation to import the goods on his behalf to a subcontractor (e.g. customs broker). The consignee will pay the taxes & duties in addition with the purchase price of the goods.
    **Please note: The above represent recommendations of verbiage to be included in the Terms and Conditions for international shipping which are typically published on eTailers’ websites and acknowledged by the eBuyer at the time of checkout.   2. eBuyer must give eTailer Power of Attorney to import the goods on their behalf. eBuyer must further acknowledge that the eTailer is subcontracting third parties for the importation on their behalf by agreeing with the statement below at the checkout page. This statement must have a hyperlink pointing to the international shipping Terms and Conditions and is best combined with a box that needs to be checked prior to order completion.
