Welcome!
This is Jim Caiella's online store hosted by CafePress.com. Here are what I hope you find to be unique images. My drawings in the profile and prints are extensively researched. The type faces used for the aircraft markings are accurate. You won't find generic type here. In many instances I worked with the pilots or crews getting their input as well as access to personal, otherwise unknown photographs, to ensure accuracy.
Be certain to checkout the aircraft profiles. I am working on a set of drawings honoring Vietnam POWs. The first is one of the aircraft flown by Senator John S. McCain III of Arizona. Check my portfolio pages at www.caiella.com.
Note: I look forward to your comments. If you have requests, let me know. I am always interested in working on new projects especially if it puts me in contact with the guys who've helped make our history.
Beginning 6 December 2010, I am discontinuing sale of posters and prints from this storefront. Mugs, t-shirts, and other items will still be available here. Check my new shop, I will be removing the posters as they are added to it at: http://milimages.imagekind.com/store/default.aspx

Aviation Profiles These aren't just images of aircraft. They are depictions of history each with a link to an individual and specific unit. Each has its own story. |
CVW-17 Aircraft 1967 These profiles honor individual pilots and crew. The aircraft are depicted as painted and armed at the date indicated. |
Aviation Art These images, based on public domain photographs, add my interpretation—and in some cases, color—to the original work. They span the Golden Age of Aviation up to today. |
Naval Art Like the aviation art, these are based on public domain images. They depict the gamut of the Navy from the Civil War to present day. |
Battle of Vella Gulf On the night of 6 August 1943 the U.S. Navy won a stunning and shocking victory over the forces of the Imperial Japanese Navy. |
