Created by Phillip Messinger in 1995 and kept to himself until recently, Bowser was inspired by the artist's own best friend, Dieder, who died of leukemia in 1999. Finally shared with the public, Bowser's been quickly discovered by kids and parents all over the world! Just like Dieder, Bowser loves to be seen at school, the playground and at the beach!
