Easter Rising is a traditional band with Irish soul, and folk'n'roll. These nine musicians started up while attending the Roman Catholic seminary, The PCJ, in Ohio, and although some no longer study for the priesthood, they all nevertheless remain committed as a band to the soul purpose of Easter Rising; the fostering of communio for whoever has ears to listen. Inspired by the authenticity of people like Paddy Moloney, Peter Brennan, and Brian McCoy, the band wants to play good music, sure, but more importantly hang out, be with people, drink a pint or twelve and get by with a little help from our friends.
