Ægishjalm Talisman

The Ægishjalm (or Aegishjalmur) is a symbol of protection used by the early Norse. It was used to confer invincibility in the wearer or to instill fear in one's enemies. The is some debate on whether the Ægishjalmr is a bindrune or not; it has the characteristics of a bindrune but at the same time could just be a talisman or charm.

This Talisman was created by and for Jeremy Elletson, and includes Odin's illusionary rune and a personal galdrathular or runic mantra surrounding the outside of the Ægishjalm.

It has been my long standing policy that I will draw heraldic arms for SCA members at no charge. I do not charge an outrageous setup fee that can easily double or triple the cost of your item. While I do not charge SCA members for artwork setup, I do accept gratuities.
