Pink Ribbon

Each October I create a new image for the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is original image I put up in 2007, before I thought that I'd be doing a new image each year.

Ribbons have been used to express solidarity on the part of the wearer with the identified cause since the early to late 20th Century. Pink Ribbons (and the color pink) are used to express support for those who are diagnosed with Breast Cancer. The pink Ribbon has its origins in the fall of 1991, when Susan G. Komen For the cure. handed out pink ribbons to participants in its New York City race for breast cancer survivors.

For some complex legal reasons, I cannot claim that any portion of the shirts you may buy from Conal's Corner will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation. However, I will state that I personally donate to the Susan G. Komen foundation, and that it is my intent not to make a single dime on any Breast Cancer Awareness item sold though Conal's Corner. I hope that covers the legal end of things, while making my intentions clear.

Conal's Corner is not affiliated with the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc. (SCA) or any Branch of the SCA. The SCA heraldic device, as well as the heraldic devices of its subordinate kingdoms and branches are registered to The Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc.
