Frida Kahlo is painted over a print of the mural at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago, IL ; the new name for The Mexican Fine Arts Center Museum. Mario Castillo painted the mural behind Frida and its title is “The Ancient Memories of Mayahuel’s people Still Breathe”. The title in Spanish varies; “Las Memorias Antiguas de la Raza del Maguey Aun Respiran”. It makes reference to the race of the Maguey people. In this image, traces of the Olmec, Maya, Aztec, and Toltec cultures can be seen.
