Mario Castillo painted the mural behind Frida and its title is “The Ancient Memories of Mayahuel’s people Still Breathe”. The title in Spanish varies; “Las Memorias Antiguas de la Raza del Maguey Aun Respiran”. It makes reference to the race of the Maguey people. The mural in Frida’s background displays images from the Olmec, Maya, Aztec, and Toltec cultures.
