Mario Castillo pays tribute to the Greeks’ Golden rectangle attributed to Pythagoras’ geometry. This golden proportion, called the sectio divina (divine section) makes use of ø … phi, the golden ratio. It was used by the ancient Greeks in their architecture and their art because it appears to have very pleasing proportion. The sculptor Phidias incorporated this golden rule into his work. Through the ages, the aesthetics of Western Art have always recognized the inherent beauty of this golden algebraic formula.
