9th Life Hawaii, Compassionate Cat Control in Maui

9th Life-Hawaii, is a non-profit 501 (C)3 organization dedicated to implementing compassionate cat population control in Hawaii. 9th Life Hawaii is the leader of the No Kill movement on Maui. We do NOT believe in killing animals to control their population. It should be obvious by now that it does not work and the only method absolutely guaranteed to work is mass sterilization. Our goal is to humanely reduce the cat population by holding frequent, high-volume Spay/Neuter clinics. We have sterilized over 5,294 cats since 2006 and have more clinics planned in 2014.


9th Life Hawaii is the largest No-Kill all Cat Sanctuary on Maui. On any given day we are providing shelter for just under 300 healthy, happy cats that no doubt would not be alive today without our intervention. We are very proud of our cage-free Kitty Paradise and the hard work we put into providing a place for these rescued cats to live in comfort while we search for loving homes. There are many challenges involved in such an operation, and we always welcome volunteers and financial supporters to help us maintain the high standards of care and attention that have made the 9th Life Hawaii Sanctuary a Kitty Paradise.
