Hitchling: A child void of religious indoctrination who is encouraged to read broadly and to seek the truth unapologetically.
The word was coined by "Phaenarete", mother of an 8-year old who asked Christopher Hitchens (1949-2011) what books she should read. Though he was terminally ill, he took trouble to make out a list for her.
