"My passionate sense of social justice and social responsibility has always contrasted oddly with my pronounced lack of need for direct contact with other human beings and human communities." Albert Einstein
In this famous quotation, Einstein is speaking directly to two traits that are contained within the diagnotic criteria for Aspergers Syndrome, "lack of friends" and an "exaggerated sense of justice."
While this does not prove that he was on the Autistic Spectrum, that, along with many other traits strongly hint in that direction. As a result, he's often considered the Aspie Patron Saint, and a strong arguement against forms of treatment that could trap such genius in a straitjacket of apparent normalcy.
It's an unfortunate reality that many people with Autism are profoundly disabled by their condition - but even some of them, given a choice, would not seek a cure; for their internal reality is as rich as their external reality seems deprived.
Still, note that I said "some." And probably they, like you, whine from time to time about the limitations their reality imposes upon them.
