Viking Answer Lady Gifts : Just for Fun : Gat Mjöð?
The Horn Triskelion comes from the story in Skáldskaparmál of how Óðinn won the "mead of furious inspiration." Óðinn snuck into a mountain crag, and wooed a giant maiden for three nights. Each night she allowed him to drink from one of three mead containers, Óðrörir, Són and Boðn, represented here as drinking horns brim-full of mead.
These designs also feature two Old Norse phrases: "gat mjöð?", asking if you have mead, the drink of the gods, and "Ek Drykk of Gat Ens Dýra Mjaðar!", a quote from Hávamál verse 140, from the section sometimes known as Rúnatal Óðins, which may be translated, "I got a draught of the precious mead!"
