The Borg are a race of cybernetic beings who roam the galaxy assimilating other species to add their technology and uniqueness to their collective. First encountered by the Enterprise-D when the Q entity threw the Starfleet vessel into a confrontation with a Borg Cube, they later became a terrifying enemy of life throughout the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. Their customary greeting is always something like "We are The Borg. You will be assimilated. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service ours. Resistance is futile" - not the friendliest bunch in the universe, and the cause of some of the most disturbing scenes in the whole of the Star Trek canon. So we made a sort of cute one.
