It's the height of bigotry to make broad generalizations about people. What I find most disturbing about the pronouncement that small-town Americans cling to guns and religion because they're frustrated with government is the implication that if people were pleased with government they would gleefully surrender their guns and abandon their religion. What does that tell you about how liberals views the power, seductiveness, and overwhelming allure of The State? What liberals don't understand is that the people who own guns and go to church are the ones who decide elections. Let them know it with this proud pronouncement.
