It is difficult to write about Daniel Johnston, because his work and personality are not easy to outline. Daniel was born in 1961 in America and started making music in highschool. He gained notority by publishing home-recorded tapes with music that was brilliant and strange and raw and beautiful at the same time. His fame increased after Kurt Cobain of Nirvana-fame got photographed wearing a T-Shirt featuring one of Daniel's drawings and his art and music was embraced by people like Larry Clark, David Bowie and many other fans and supporters worldwide. We are extremely excited and happy that he joined our project with one of his artworks!
