Aside from being reminded of Bush every time she opens her mouth, Sarah Palin disgusts me for another reason. She supports "aerial safaris." Private citizens and professional sportsmen are allowed to hunt and gun down wolves and bears from the sky. This isn't your everyday hunting trip. A plane, pilot and a gunner go skimming over the snow covered ground, watching for tracks. When they find a wolf they shoot at it, usually with a 12-gauge rifle, and continue to chase it until it collapses from exhaustion and pain. The animal suffers terribly from the multiple gun shot wounds until it is finally killed. See a video of the barbaric practice here. On top of providing $400,000 to the campaign attempting to keep the murdering legal, her administration offered $150 for every front right leg of a freshly killed wolf turned in.
It is a disgusting and brutal practice. I would be ashamed to have her as our Vice President.
