Governor Gray Davis has been in charge of it for nearly 5 years and 8 as Lieutenant Governor AND 8 years a State Controller.

With all that experience, he ought to know how to manage a budget, negotiate a contract, finesse his legislature and fulfill his obligations as Governor.

What a disaster he's been for the state!

Yet, this election seems to have been engineered by the Republican Party so they could get Schwarzenegger elected. Every big Republican in the country is behind him. Please do NOT let that happen.

There actually IS a good candidate out there.
Peter Ueberroth

Unfortunately, he's also a Republican, and he's withdrawn from the race. Clearly, the Party isn't behind him or supporting him. So, if elected, perhaps he'll be less susceptible to party politics.

(And he's the only candidate I've ever heard of who's returning his campaign contributions. What a class act!)

I say, if elected? Huh, he's withdrawn!

Well, my friends, Peter is still on the ballot. Yes, he is. It was printed before he withdrew. (See box #108 on the sample ballot.)

So far, EVERYONE I've spoken to wants to vote for him. They were really disappointed when he pulled out.

Now, they say, they'll have to vote against someone, instead of FOR someone. And I say, why?

I am STILL voting for Peter!

He IS the best candidate, if not the most media savvy, to get the state back into fiscal balance and management sanity. You've seen what he's done in the past...without spending his time in front of cameras:

He's already demonstrated that he can navigate political waters. In fact, he's the only person running who has an excellent track record with both the business and international communities. And he understands how to bring projects in under budget and with a profit.

Can you imagine how hard it is to make an Olympics session profitable?
Peter Ueberroth pulled that off in Los Angeles in 1984. He shocked the world. After him, there was no longer an excuse for having to pay for these events from local coffers.

If the press won't help him. Let's do it ourselves!
