Taken for Ranted : Evolution and Religion
Yup, the world is only 6,000 years old, just as the Bible supposedly tells us. According to a
Pew poll (Pew was, by the way, a conservative Calvinist),
70% of White Evangelicals believe that the world and humans have always existed in their present form. This does not count the additional 12% who believe in evolution guided by God. In other words, 70% are hardcore creationists. How did these people come to be running our school boards?
