Woman's Work is Never Done: "Mow Work for Mom"
My grandmother, Doris Elliott Garlock, mowing the lawn with a push mower while my grandfather was away working at a World War II defense plant. Oh, she was also raising seven kids at the time! Underneath the saying reads: "Woman's Work is Never Done".
Original colored pencil painting by Susan Donley from family photos. Click here for the story behind the "Mow Work for Mom" painting or the "Woman's Work" series, a tribute to the labor of our fore-mothers.
