Woman's Work is Never Done: "Aunt Teen on her Tractor"
Great-Aunt Teen (Aurelia Elliott) riding the new tractor on the family farm in 1920s Jefferson County, Ohio. It was a great labor-saving device compared to her previous the team of oxen. Underneath is the familiar, but oh-so-true, saying: "Woman's Work is Never Done".
Original colored pencil painting from family photos by Susan Donley. Click here for the story behind the "Aunt Teen on her Tractor" painting or the "Woman's Work" series, a tribute to the labor of our fore-mothers.
