Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines (PRSL)
Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines (PRSL) was a joint venture of the Pennsylvania Railroad and Reading Railroad in southern New Jersey.
Both railroads had built rail networks in the region, but the Great Depression cut into profits and the two companies joined their southern New Jersey lines into one company, which the PRR had a 2/3 ownership in. The PRSL served as South Jersey's own railroad from 1933 until it was absorbed into Conrail in 1976 after the bankrupty of both of its parent railroads.
