SPCA of TN

The long overdue Tennessee chapter of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was recently founded in October 2005. The SPCA of Tennessee is a non-profit organization devoted to helping needy animals. Our mission is to greatly reduce animal suffering in Tennessee and beyond through education, legislation, and the mobilization of caring animal-lovers. We hope to provide a safe haven and homes to abandoned and neglected animals while promoting animals rights awareness and the importance of spaying and neutering pets. The SPCA of Tennessee, in its brief tenure, has rescued and placed more than 500 animals in need. Our rescued dogs come from shelters, homes of neglect and the streets. The SPCA has provided medical care and foster homes for these animal while they await adoption. To date, all cost associated with these efforts have been provided by founding members of the SPCA's needed chapter. To continue our work, we must rely on donations from generous individuals and corporations. With the guidance of our laws firm, Gullett, Sanford, Robinson and Martin and Mollie Mahan, we have filed the necessary documents for 501(c)3 tax exempt status. Our organization has been told by the State that acceptance of our application is imminent. We want you to feel comfortable supporting this worthy cause and if you have any questions about our tax status, we welcome your questions and due diligence. If you or your company is in a position to help the SPCA of Tennessee, we would greatly welcome your support. Not only are we in need of financial assistance, we need foster homes, dog donations, crates, toys and any time you wish to volunteer to our cause. Just remember that every time you buy and item for the store a percentage goes to The SPCA to help and animal in need. Every dollar spent will help us save another life. Your kind donation will also help us get the funds to built our Sanctuary for animals in Tennessee.
