This is a more painterly design than I usually do here at the SnoogleZoo. This poster was painted as my entry to an art show on advertising back in college, and after getting a couple of requests for prints (I have the only original giclee print) I decided to make the "Keep Reading" Literacy poster available here. The idea is that the little girl up in the tree is so engrossed in what she is reading she hardly notices the sun setting over the wheatfeild. It's meant to stir feelings of nostalgia for the idle days of summer vacation, yet still promote a worthwile activity like reading to kids. It's a romantic, sentimental image, but it seems to have resonated with people.
