Fitzgerald translated Omar Khayyam so masterfully that, according to some, he's a better poet in English than in Farsi! Can one speak of a more radical "translation" – into the mysterious graphics of Fractals? Omar himself, a mathematician and astronomer, would undoubtedly be intrigued at the attempt.
