AUTHOR LAUNCHES SKEETER BEATERS FOUNDATION TO RAISE FUNDS TO FIGHT MALARIA
The Denver based Skeeter Beaters Foundation plans to ship Long Lasting Insecticide Impregnated Mosquito Nets by year end, 2008 to the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific. A portion of the net proceeds from the sale of Skeeter Beaters' merchandise goes to the Against Malaria Foundation and 100% of the money received by Against Malaria buys nets. The partnership between the Skeeter Beaters Foundation and Against Malaria ensures that every dollar donated for the purchase of nets goes directly to nets and every net purchased will be delivered directly to the Solomon Islands where the story of the Skeeter Beaters took root in 1942 bringing their efforts full circle.
