When CNBC's Rick Santelli went on his rant about the Obama mortgage plan, he was speaking for millions and millions of Americans who can feel their liberty being taken away. Just when is a gift not a gift? When it requires others to pay for it. And who are the people who will pay for the debacle that is the Obama mortgage bailout? The honest, hard working people who have paid their mortgages on time. The people who were responsible and did not get in over their heads. US! The taxpaying Americans! Now is the time to stand up and tell the Obama White House just how mad you are. Join the New Sons of Liberty.
Here at Shop the Right, we decided to create this design to honor todays Sons of Liberty, and the call for a "Chicago Tea Party".
If you do not remember The Boston Tea Party, in summary, here's what happened:
On the 29th of November, 1773, a handbill was posted all over Boston, containing the following words: "Friends! Brethren! Countrymen!--That worst of plagues, the detested tea, shipped for this port by the East India Company, is now arrived in the harbor. The Sons of Liberty thinly disguised as Indians and armed with small hatchets and clubs, headed toward the Boston Harbor, where lay Dartmouth and the newly-arrived Beaver and Eleanor. Swiftly and efficiently, casks of tea were brought up from the hold to the deck, opened and the tea dumped overboard.By dawn, over 342 casks or 90,000 lbs of tea worth an estimated £10,000 had been dumped into the waters of Boston harbor.
