This image began as a meditation on my favorite author of the Twenthieth Century, Reinaldo Arenas. His unabashed love of life, art, beautiful men, Cuba, and color is written in the simplest black and white print on paper in his books. I recommend FAREWELL to THE SEA, or his autobiography, BEFORE NIGHT FALLS. (Or rent the fantastic film with a master performance by Javier Bardim.)

BACKGROUND ABOUT DESIGNS:

bluedecker97 is a name based on a classic science fiction film, Blade Runner. The blue is an addition.

bluedecker97 [bd97] signs on the internet at ebay, and blogs and deviantart. At CAFEPRESS some of that art becomes the graphic featured on shirts for all adults, toddlers and dog wear, mugs, stationary, posters and more.

Ideas are natural, both human and artistic, generated by a rascal that crafted dramatic shapes and color with 20 years experience making hairstyles, a great training for technique.
