SECME is Science, Engineering, Communication and Math Excellence. Seminole SECME offers students after-school hands-on activities and project based learning challenges.

Seminole Ridge Community High School is in Loxahatchee, FL (GO HAWKS!). The goal of the partners, participants and parents involved in SECME is to increase the number of historically under-represented, geographically under-served, and differently abled students prepared to enter and complete post-secondary studies in science, technology, engineering and math.

At the annual SECME Regional Competition, students square off in engineering contests to design and build mousetrap powered vehicles, rockets around an ordinary 2 liter soda bottle, balsa wood bridges that withstand pressure, and VEX robots; in general knowledge games with the "Brain Bowl," and in literary and artistic competitions with essays, mission patches, banners, and posters.
