Their population continues to decline, due to palm oil production & fragmented populations.
INDIAN RHINO The Indian (aka greater one-horned) rhino was nearly extinct 100 years ago. Indian rhinos now number just over 2,900 and are found only in a few protected areas of India and Nepal.	BLACK RHINO Black rhinos suffered a 96% decline in their population. Thanks to the ban on rhino horn trade, this species is slowly recovering from a low of 2,300 in 1993 to about 4,860 today.	WHITE RHINO Once thought extinct, the white rhino numbers around 20,000 today. Sadly, medicinal myths, the demand for rhino horn & the greed of suppliers could send these rhinos to the edge again.
