Until December 11, 2008 Ruth Madoff was another nice Jewish girl who made good. A beautiful family, well-tailored clothes, handmade shoes and homes in the UES, Montauk, Palm Beach and France; Ruth had everything a girl from Queens could wish for. On that winter's day when her husband's sweeping financial crimes where revealed, her world came crashing down around her. She immediately lost contact with her children and grandchildren, was shunned by her social circle and can't get her stylist, florist or caterer to return her calls. When the feds booted Ruth from her penthouse, they didn't even let her take her coat! Maligned in the press and relegated to life in an East 90s condo, Ruth's fortunes have reversed dramatically.
