Saratoga Reads! began in 2004. It is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to promote a stronger sense of community through reading and shared experiences. The Saratoga community nominates and ultimately votes to select the winning novel each year. Past novels include The Secret Life of Bees, The Kite Runner, Wicked, and Caramelo. Once a novel is selected a variety of events inspired by the book are planned by Saratoga Reads! and partner organizations throughout the community.
