Synopsis
William Sampson was born in Londonderry, Ireland January 27, 1764 and died in Now York December 28, 1836. The cheerful temper and invincible mind that supported him in the dungeons of the inquisition sustained him during his long exile. This work has beenout of print since 1817. It includes Sampson's observations on resistence to English occupation of Ireland, dungeoning and torture, exile to Europe and finally to America. Full of passion, intellect and humor, many of the observations are as hard-hitting and accruate today as ever.
