If you've been looking (or praying) for tee shirts and other stuff with a distinctively Lutheran, positively Christian, and seriously Confessional message, God's been listening! (He does that, you know.)
If you're wondering who these real Lutherans
are, individual members of the ELCA, LCMS, WELS or any of the other Lutheran synods in North America no doubt have their own opinion (and some may tell you that THEY are the real Lutherans
). But this is not meant as a litmus test of true Lutheranism.
As a whole, there are some things that seem to set Lutherans apart culturally from the rest of American society (some funny, others more serious), but the goal here is to let these serve as starting points for sharing the Gospel, an area where Lutherans (and others) could use a little help. If people see one of these items on your car or your desk and ask you (as Martin Luther once said) “What does this mean?” you can explain and then segue into the Good News about Jesus.
