The Insects/Radio Milan

Welcome to the official store for Insects and Radio Milan gear! Radio Milan was a Tulsa band popular on the regional new wave scene in the Eighties. Originally called The Insects, the group changed its name to Radio Milan in 1985. They played at clubs like Tulsa's Bleu Grotto, Crystal Pistol, Cain's Ballroom, 424 and Nuevo Wavo in Stillwater, the Twilight Ballroom in Dallas and the Bowery in OKC. In 1986, when the cassette "Musica La Dolce" was released, Radio Milan was Rex Brown, Scott Miller, Eric Kehr and Les Mobley. Through the years the group also featured Tony Dapolito, David Burdick, Barry Mace, Kelly Duncan and Brian Plummer. The band opened for such notables as Lords of the New Church, The Fleshtones and, the very last gig, opening for Wang Chung at the Riverparks Amphitheater. The CD offered here includes recordings of a live Insects performance at the Crystal Pistol and studio recordings of Radio Milan. Visit www.myspace.com/radiomilan for more Insect memories.
