The Rabbit Habit Shop

The Rabbit Habit is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization, dedicated to the rescue of domestic rabbits in the Philadelphia area. When unwanted, neglected, and abandoned pet rabbits come into foster care with our organization, they receive medical attention, spays or neuters, and loving care until permanent homes can be found. Our goals are as follows: * To rescue domestic rabbits from local animal shelters which practice euthanasia, when abandoned outdoors, and when unwanted by the current owners. * To foster unwanted and abandoned rabbits by caring for their daily needs, to spay and neuter the foster rabbits, and adopt foster rabbits into suitable, permanent homes. * To support and educate network members, veterinarians, humane societies, pet stores, breeders, and the public with information on house rabbit lifestyles, house rabbit care, and house rabbit health from reputable printed materials. * To support area rabbit shelters with hands-on assistance, referrals, and information. * To support network members in need of temporary rabbit care, reputable suppliers, reputable and experienced veterinarians, and other pertinent assistance. * To promote an interest in rabbit advocacy and rabbits in general. * To form social interactions with others who share an interest in rabbits.
