Cragar and I opened up shop early in 2006, inspired by our puppytoes.net weblog. I started this particular blog over two years ago, and use it to yammer on about things that interest me the most - usually Cragar and poker, with the occasional rant thrown in. I know you're wondering - where the heck did the name puppytoes.net come from? Well, the little guy has the cutest little toes! He prances and trots around, and when he was little he'd nibble on his toes every now and then.
The puppytoes.net store came about when we had the brilliant idea to start creating designs related to things I ramble on about in the blog. That's why you'll find lots of poker and mini schnauzer stuff. You may be wondering, "What does poker have to do with Cragar?" Well, it's simple. In puppy logic, poker winnings = puppy toys. Preferably squeaky balls.
As time went on, we've expanded our design offerings, branching out a little from our initial puppytoes.net blog-inspired fare, and we're planning on adding a new design types soon. But given Cragar is still our official mascot, the puppytoes.net name stands!
One of those design expansions is Geeky Stuff - mostly because I freely admit I'm a geek. Most of the puppytoes.net Geek Stuff centers around chemistry, given I got my degree in Chemistry and worked in R&D for almost 15 years. Aside from destroying many brain cells with noxious chemicals, working in the structured world of R&D for so long makes the puppytoes.net store a wonderful outlet for my pent up creative energy. Without it, I may have ended up refinishing my house with padded rooms.
