first of all, don't even think about buying this spiffy mug if you are not a member of your local public radio station. hold your membership card up to the computer screen so that i can see it. ok... good... you can order one now. or you can order two or three and give them as subtle hints to friends of your who are not members or their local station. how could they face their morning cup-a-java, the afternoon tea or their comforting cup of cocoa and not want to dash right off and join their local station? they don't have to wait until a pledge drive you know, they can do it any time you know. by the way, now that you are getting a spiffy mug, you will remember to renew your membership every year, won't you? good. now, some of you are asking, why would i want to pay for a mug expounding the glories of public radio membership when i can get a nifty free mug from my local station when i join. yes, you can get a nifty mug, or other spiffy treats. you certainly don't have to buy another mug, especially one that doesn't even have the call letters of your local station or the name of your favorite show. this is just an option of another way to proudly declare your devotion to public radio for all - not just humans. of course if you are looking for official public radio goodies, might i suggest that you check with your local station or pop on out to the official npr shop (www.shop.npr.org). you will be glad you did!
