Democrat from Connecticut
Chris Dodd is U.S. Senator from Connecticut, a post he has held since 1980. 
His father, Thomas, also served in the U.S. Senate. He previously served in the U.S. House and was in the Peace Corps. Dodd was born in Connecticut in 1944, graduated from Providence College and earned a law degree from the University of Louisville. Dodd is married to Jackie Marie Clegg. They have two children.
