All purchases from the Planet Gumbo store will support the charitable works of Planet Gumbo. Bill "The Sauce Boss" Wharton founded Planet Gumbo in 2003 and began traveling to homeless shelters throughout the US bringing his music and his gumbo to share with those in need. Planet Gumbo’s mission is to offer sustenance and hope to the homeless and disaster survivors by bringing nutritious food for the body and upbeat music for the soul. We also work to bring community awareness to the problems and solutions to homelessness and hunger. Planet Gumbo hopes to bridge the community of the fortunate to those in need and make a real difference in the lives of all.
