On a cold and gray winter day I took this photograph of Whatcom Falls where its pale hint of spring color to come and water that was barely melted had a sparse beauty.

Silver Lake

Silver Lake
Silver Lake is one of my favorite places to go see Autumn colors in Washington State. This footbridge on the mountain lake on the way to Mt. Baker is a great place to take photographs.

Following a heavy rain one of the meadows at Hovander Park in Ferndale, Washington filled with rainwater and reflected the bare trees and gray clouds tinged with the setting sunlight.

Whatcom Creek

Whatcom Creek
It was a lovely summer day in Whatcom Falls Park in Bellingham, Washington and the light was magical on the creek that runs through the park. It gave everything a velvety green hue and softness.

A low lying tree branch is reflected at such an angle that it appears to be growing beneath the lake's surface. This photograph was taken at Lake Padden in Bellingham, Washington.

Bellingham, Washington has some of the most beautiful parks in the Pacific Northwest. Whatcom Falls is one of my favorites for a peaceful walk among trees, the creek, and fishing pond.

Misty Nooksack River
A low-hanging cloud creates a mist that obscures Mt. Baker and gives a glacier-greenish blue color to the Nooksack River along the Horseshoe Trail, one of the nicest hikes in the Cascades near town.
