Nursing Mother's Counsel of Oregon

The Nursing Mother's Counsel of Oregon (NMC) is a non-profit group made up of women who have breastfeeding experience and training.

Our members have volunteered to be phone counselors, providing support and encouragement to new mothers and answering breastfeeding questions. This enables each mother to make choices about breastfeeding that are best for her and her baby.

NMC is also a source of information and support for women who want to keep breastfeeding after returning to work or school. Breastfeeding classes are available for parents, teachers, and physicians.
