This is the first effort of singer/songwriter m. w. gargo in his move into solo music. the Nabokov Project is his "solo" project after being a singer/guitarist in a post-hardcore punk act in the States during the mid 1990's. This album documents a large expanse of styles and genres(from folk, instrumental, goth, to post-rock & experimental), rooting itself firmly in all that is "alternative" while touching always upon (if not obsessing over) the dark sounds and moments of life. This collection of songs is meant to bring a touch of beauty into the world and also provoke some thought on the state of music in the "post-modern" world.
