My 8 year old son, Sean,was diagnosed with berkins lymphoma. He had an annoying cough every once in a while and started sweating for no reason. After a few days, we brought him in and it looked like a slight case of pneumonia. We went for a chest x-ray and we were called that night to bring him into the hospital. He was diagnosed with Cancer. At one point, the Oncologist brought us into a room and told us that Sean is in Cardiac Arrest from the Chemo. attacking the bad cells and they can't get a regular rhythm. After 2 hours of chest compressions and alot of praying, he came back. He only lost a pulse for a few seconds. They were expecting some brain damage but he is a sharp as ever now.
After 4 Months of Chemotherapy & living a Stony Brook Hospital, on Long Island, we are all home together and Sean is Cancer FREE. All his test show no sign of any lymphoma and there are no side effect noticed on any scans.
We were left with many hospital bills, even though we have insurance. Our mortgage & taxes are far behind from being out of work for so long.
