Synopsis:
From the time they arrived in Ottumwa, Iowa, in 1877, the Sisters of the Humility of Mary served as teachers and nurses. In 1914, St. Joseph Hospital and School of Nursing was founded. For nearly 75 years the hospital and school combined the missions of teaching and nursing, graduating more than 700 nurses and more than 25 medical technologists.
