Mars Society Desert Research Station Crew 9 Shop Welcome to the MDRS Crew 9 shop! From here you can buy all sorts of various and wonderful products featuring the Crew 9 patch and photos from the rotation. All products are being sold at cost price, which means that I (Adrian) don't make any money from sales. The method CafePress use to do their printing - on paper, T-shirts, mugs, etc - is dye sublimation. They claim that this is just as good as screen printing and much better than those thermal transfer T-shirt prints that fade after a couple of washes. I'm told that the quality of stuff from here is pretty good, so take that as you will, and don't come complaining to me if your t-shirt dissolves or blows up after a month. What are the coolest things here? Well, the full calendar is pretty cool - it's practically the only thing in the shop that has images other than the Crew 9 patch on. That's not to say that the patch is bad - it should look pretty good on T-shirts or mugs, both of which have a reasonable price.
