| This shop is dedicated to
Mary, the Blessed Virgin Mother of Jesus, and to Christ,
her Son. Originally, this site was set up to raise money
for tsunami relief. In light of the recent devastation
caused by Hurricane Katrina, I will be donating money to
BOTH Catholic Charities USA and Catholic
Relief Services. I donate 25% of my after-tax
profits. This will be split 50/50 between the two
organizations. Why dedicate a site for humanitarian relief to Mary and Jesus? I am a Roman Catholic. As such, I believe that when Christ was on the cross, and, He said to the disciple He loved, "This is your mother", and to Mary, "Woman, this is your son" (John:25-27), Our Lord made Mary the spiritual mother of the human race. As such, Mary cries for her children when they suffer; ALL her children, regardless of race, religion or gender. And Jesus cries with her. For some time, I wanted to create a CafePress shop with spiritual designs and dedicate it to Our Lady. Now, I simply feel called to do so. |
